“Railway accident injuries are very difficult to salvage,” stated plastic surgeon Dr Quazi Ahmad who treated Kumar. “In Chyankk’s case, the amputated limb used to be correctly preserved. There’s only a 4-hour window to reattach the limb sooner than muscle groups began decaying.”

Kumar underwent bone fixation underneath orthopaedic surgeon Dr Avinash Date. In an 8-hour microvascular surgical procedure, Kumar’s arteries and veins have been repaired by way of Dr Ahmad.
