Grazing cattle in open: FIRs against owners

LUCKNOW: Dairy house owners discovered leaving cows to graze in open after milking them will now face prison action with district management deciding to lodge FIR in opposition to them. The district management also decided that if any stray animals are discovered loitering then action will probably be taken in opposition to the officers involved.

Further, people who obstruct administrative officers from capturing stray animals and taking them to refuge homes can be booked on charges of vitiating peace and order under the related sections. "The orders to this effect were issued on Wednesday," stated further district Justice of the Peace (management) S P Gupta. The resolution was once taken following complaints on our helpline that dairy house owners depart their cows on streets after milking them. Action can be taken in opposition to officers who fail to shift stray cattle in sheds in their respective areas. "There were also complaints that administrative officers were not shifting cows to shelter homes. Such officers were warned. However, some officers told us that people at times oppose and create obstruction in shifting cattle to sheds. As a result, it was decided to book such people as well," he added.

The primary areas affected with cattle risk are Kaiserbagh, Aminabad, Lalbagh, Vivek Khand, Vipul Khand, Vishal Khand and Viram Khand of Gomtinagar, Kapoorthala crossing, Aliganj sector O, Jankipuram Extension and many others.
