Students spot croc in varsity campus

Vadodara: M S University has decided to hide the lower bridge connecting its science college campus to the D N Hall flooring with a web.
The decision to hide all the stretch of the lower bridge with a web was taken after the college officers on Friday gained a illustration from a students workforce that that they had noticed a crocodile close to the lower bridge.

The lower bridge is located above the ‘bhukhi nullah’ stretch, a tributary of Vishwamitri river, that passes through the college campus.

Vishwamitri itself is understood for healthy population of crocodiles. As in line with the remaining census that was completed in 2015, there were 260 crocodiles that had been thriving right in the midst of Vadodara city.


“I had gained calls from a few students from the Faculty of Science on Wednesday that they have observed a crocodile close to the lower bridge. The crocodile was there even if I reached the spot,” mentioned Saloni Mishra, vice-president (VP) of MSU Students Union (MSUSU) who led a group of students from science college to make the illustration sooner than MSU’s in-charge registrar N K Ojha.


“The lower bridge is used by many a students, who don't have a car, as a pathway on regular foundation as this is a short-cut between the science college premises and the D N Hall flooring. But the location worsens, particularly all through monsoon, when the sewage of the ‘bhukhi nullah’ starts flowing out,” she mentioned.
