Kodagu Pravasi Utsav begins on a grand note

MADIKERI: Pravasi Utsav is being performed to promote tourism in Kodagu, particularly in the aftermath of natural calamity, stated tourism minister S R Mahesh after inaugurating the festival here on Friday.
The state govt is with the people of Kodagu, and I’m glad to peer Raja’s Seat milling with tourists, he stated. “The govt will entire its five-year time period under the management of Kumaranna (CM H D Kumaraswamy),” he stated.

Meanwhile, horticultural senior assistant Okay P Devaki stated the topiaries brought for the three-day utsav will probably be permanently saved at the lawn. Fibre figures of dinosaur, tiger, deers, birds, megastar fish, anaconda, musical tools, peacocks, elephants, plant life, greens and end result had been publish at Raja’s Seat, much to the enjoyment of tourists.

“We give priority for the development and upkeep of the historical lawn in Raja’s Seat,” Devaki stated, adding that over 7,000 flowering vegetation had been organized for the festival. Bonsai vegetation have also been positioned, and they're going to even be saved here permanently.

The tourism division will give priority to promote tourism in Kodagu, and tourism centres will probably be revived for the aim, stated state tourism director Ramu.

He informed TOI that the dep. has sanctioned Rs 1 crore for the utsav. Facilities at Abbi Falls had been broken following landslide, and they're going to be repaired at a cost of Rs 28 lakh.
