Mundra taluka panchayat member attacked

Rajkot: A bunch of 11 people attacked Mundra taluka panchayat member and vandalized his farmhouse. Though the crime used to be committed on Tuesday night time, its criticism used to be lodged on Wednesday night time.

In his criticism, Ranjeetsinh Jadeja (42), a resident of Tumadi village of Mundra taluka in Kutch district, said the assailants waylaid his automotive in Chunari village and attacked him with bat. When Jadeja fled in his automotive, the assailants pelted stones at the automotive.

“The assailants vented their ire at Jadeja’s farmhouse later. They went on a rampage, vandalizing the farmhouse. They set ablaze two Rajwadi bhungas (royal domes) made from hay and damaged the furniture of the farmhouse,” inspector of Mankuva police station V S Champawat said.

The attack used to be the results of a dispute between Jadeja and the assailants who wanted to usurp Jadeja’s farmhouse. They had threatened Jadeja with dire consequences prior to now too.

The accused who attacked Jadeja have been identified as Juwansinh Jadeja, Mahipatsinh Jadeja, Hamirji Jadeja, Rajubha Jadeja, Natubha Jadeja, Popatsinh Jadeja, Kanubha Jadeja, Vakhubha Jadeja, Bhavsanghji Jadeja, Shaktisinh Jadeja and Sagubha Jadeja. Police have launched a manhunt for them.
