JICA representatives led by leader government (India), Katasuo Matsumoto, visited Amadpore in Navsari where greater than 300 farmers raised serious objections over the bullet educate undertaking and the policy of central and state governments to grab away land of deficient other people in violation of acquisition laws.

JICA representatives visited Galudi village in Kathor close to Surat where they held a three-hour assembly with the affected other people in the presence of leaders of Gujarat Khedut Samaj (GKS).

Farmer leaders stated JICA representatives toured the affected areas in south Gujarat and talked to the farmers about their issues. A gathering of JICA representatives and GKS leaders shall be held in Surat on Saturday where all problems related to the bullet educate undertaking shall be raised.

GKS president Jayesh Patel stated, “Farmers of south Gujarat made a robust representation to JICA participants. They instructed them how central and state governments have been hell-bent on acquiring their land for the undertaking without paying them higher repayment. About 200 other people, who are shedding their homes in Kathor, demanded marketplace charges for his or her homes to be acquired for the undertaking.”

Surat District Panchayat member Darshan Naik stated, “The state executive’s announcement of giving four times the land prices prevailing available in the market for homes is popping out to be false. Farmers don't seem to be getting even elementary price for his or her land. Majority of farmers are unwilling to part with their land parcels for the bullet educate undertaking.”
