Coimbatore man abuses traffic cop who tried to stop him, arrested

COIMBATORE: A 27-year-old guy used to be arrested for combating a site visitors cop, who caught him driving a two-wheeler without helmet, from discharging his duty at Athupalam here on Friday.
According to the city police, the incident happened when M Mohammed Javed, of Vasantha Garden at Kuniyamuthur, used to be heading to Athupalam from Sunnambukalavai on a bike.

“As he used to be not wearing helmet, grade one site visitors police constable Ayyalu Ganeshan, 36, asked him forestall the car. Mohammed, who runs a furniture shop, didn't forestall the motorbike at the spot. After parking the car near Athupalam toll plaza, he approached the site visitors cop and puzzled him for seeking to forestall him,” a police officer said.


Mohammed, he said, abused the site visitors cop and tried to take hold of the walkie talkie from him. During the scuffle, the walkie talkie fell on highway and it used to be broken.


Immediately, the site visitors cop knowledgeable the Kuniyamuthur police, who took Mohammed to the police station. Based at the site visitors cop’s grievance, the Kuniyamuthur police registered a case against Mohammed beneath Sections 294(b), 353 and 506(i) of the Indian Penal Code.


Mohammed used to be later produced before the judicial magistrate court docket -VII and lodged at the Coimbatore Central Prison beneath judicial custody.
