Chennai: Girl crushed to death by tanker lorry

CHENNAI: A 13-year-old student using pillion on her uncle’s motorbike used to be crushed to demise by means of a Metrowater tanker on New Avadi Road in Kilpauk on Thursday morning, police stated. The sufferer used to be known as Jemima Achu Mathew, a Class VIII student of Union Christian Public School and a carol singer.
The coincidence occured around 7.45am, police stated, when Jino Alex, with his daughter within the front and niece Jemima on the back reached the New Avadi Road-Canala Road junction. The motive force of the Metrowater tanker (TN-20 BL 9598) wanted to overtake his motorbike and used to be honking regularly. Unable to tolerate it, Jino gave manner but the tanker hit him from behind. Jino and his child fell on the left while Jemima fell on the right and came below the rear wheels.

“It used to be unlucky. Before Jino could pull Jemina to safety, she used to be crushed,” stated Roshan Thomas, a family buddy.
