Angadia firm staff robbed at gunpoint in GSRTC bus

PALANPUR: Six staff of Deesa and Palanpur- based totally angadia firms have been robbed of precious value Rs 10 lakh at gunpoint from inside a Gujarat State Road Transportation Corporation (GSRTC) bus near Lagnaj village about 8km from Mehsana town on Thursday evening.
On Friday, the police recovered the SUV, through which the 8 armed men who conducted the robbery had escaped, and recovered portion of the looted valuables.

Police stated that the armed robbers within the age workforce of 25-30 years had boarded the Deesa-Ahmedabad bus from Unawa (near Unjha the town) on Thursday afternoon. “The robbers had boarded the bus like commonplace passengers. When the bus reached near a water park in Lagnaj the robbers swung into action,” stated sub-inspector of Lagnaj police station RK Patel.

One of them pointed a gun at the driver and requested him to prevent the bus, whilst other told the passengers to place down their heads, Patel stated. “The robbers snatched five bags containing diamonds, gold, silver and money valued at Rs 10 lakh from the angadia company staff. They got off the bus and boarded a SUV and fled from the spot,” added Patel.

Dy SP, Mehsana, Manjita Vanzara stated, “Several have been shaped and primary roads have been cordoned off. The SUV through which that they had fled was once traced the usage of CCTV footages. It was once found deserted alongside some portion of the loot.”

She stated that the this was once a pre-planned robber as the accused knew that the angadia staff have been throughout the GSRTC bus. The FIR in reference to the robber was once lodged by Visnubhahi Patel, worker of angadia frim of Deesa in Banaskantha. He had mentioned that the valuables have been value greater than Rs 10 lakh.
