AAP rebels begin 'march for justice', may launch new party

BATHINDA: Aam Aadmi Party rebels in Punjab started on Saturday a 180-km “march for justice”, which may finish with the announcement of a new political birthday party.

The “Insaaf march” led via Sukhpal Singh Khaira, who was expelled via the AAP when he rebelled after being got rid of as Leader of Opposition within the Punjab Assembly.

The organisers stated they're looking for justice in instances related to the desecration of the Guru Granth Sahib in 2015.

The workforce's leaders include suspended AAP MP Dharamvira Gandhi from Patiala, expelled AAP MLA Kanwar Sandhu, Lok Insaf Party MLA Simarjeet Singh Bains, Baba Hardeep Singh of Dal Khalsa and gangster-turned-social employee Lakha Sidhana.

They started the march after paying obeisance at Damdama Sahib gurdwara in Talwandi Sabo near right here.

The march will finish with a public assembly in Patiala on December 16.

They will search a “mandate” then from the folk to shape a “third alternative” in Punjab to contest the Lok Sabha elections.

AAP rebels had earlier stated if the folk give their go-ahead, they might shape a new birthday party and forge a "grand alliance" with like-minded parties and individuals.

The leaders handed a “resolution” looking for the arrest of Parkash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal within the reference to the 2015 sacrilege instances, and for the police firing which killed two protesters.

The Shiromani Akali Dal, led via the Badals, was in energy in Punjab when the incidents happened.

Khaira mocked the Akali Dal leaders' announcement to catch up on their mistakes at Akal Takht, calling it a “farce” to misinform other people.

Khaira stated no amount of penance can justify the wrongs finished via the Badal circle of relatives to the early life and farmers and to non secular sentiments.

Addressing the collection, the gang demanded the `Fakhr-e-Quom' title given to former leader minister Parkash Singh Badal via Akal Takht must be withdrawn.

Also taking over Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, the leaders claimed the prevailing Congress government has failed on all fronts.

He cited Singh pre-election guarantees on preventing medicine, tackling corruption, farm mortgage waiver and employment.
