10-yr-old abducted by dad’s biz rival, rescued

MUMBAI: The 10-year-old son of a builder from Nalasopara who was abducted from his home early on Thursday was rescued inside of eight hours.

The alleged kidnapper, Bablu Thakur (32), who works for a non-public firm, had taken the boy away because the boy’s father, who is also in the building trade, was delaying sale of a space in Nalasopara to Thakur, said deputy superintendent of police Datta Totewad.

In her complaint, the boy’s mom said that around 2 am, Thakur, his mom and two others barged into the house and took the boy who was asleep. The father was now not at home. Thakur advised the mummy to tell her husband to go back the cash taken for the house and take again his son. He threatened to kill the boy if they informed the police.

The boy’s mom informed her husband and they approached the police. A unique team got down to observe Thakur’s mobile phone location.

The father advised the police that there were some issues in transferring the house in Thakur’s title. The police found that Thakur had saved the boy in Goregaon. A police team tracked down the room and nabbed Thakur. A seek has been introduced for his mom and two accomplices.
