HC rejects Vijay Mallya’s plea on fugitive tag

MUMBAI: The Bombay prime court on Thursday dismissed an appeal filed by Vijay Mallya towards refusal by a different court to stick the listening to into a plea by the Enforcement Directorate to declare him a fugitive culprit.


An HC bench of Justices R M Savant and VK Jadhav noticed that what was being challenged was now not a last order and therefore didn’t intrude, allowing the special court in Mumbai to continue with the ED’s plea towards Mallya. The bank’s case was that the consortium of banks have been the sufferers and connected houses should be restituted to the banks towards the phenomenal loans.
