I play domestic cricket with same intensity: Ajinkya Rahane

NEW DELHI: Standing on the crossroads in his international profession, Ajinkya Rahane may not let depth drop when he comes back to bump and grind of domestic cricket.

The Test vice-captain, who has not performed an ODI since February, needs one thing special to draw consideration of the selectors as he leads India C in the Deodhar Trophy.

Time is running out speedy with India left with simply 17 ODI suits earlier than it performs its first World Cup fit in England.

"After coming from international cricket, you've got to have the same attitude and the same intensity when you go on to the field," Rahane advised journalists after a coaching consultation, ahead of conflict in opposition to India 'B'.

Rahane, who has represented India in 52 Tests, still considers himself a student of the game.

"I always believe that you are always a student. When you step on to the field, you learn something or the other each and every day. The attitude which I bring in international cricket, I want to continue with that and help my team always because when you help your team you automatically do well."

Attitude is vital when a participant comes a notch down in relation to quality of pageant, he stated.


"I am not thinking about individual performances or outcomes, it's all about playing with a good attitude in domestic cricket and sending a good message."


While players in 3 teams are vying for nationwide popularity, Rahane''s advise to contenders is to control simply the controllable.


"There are certain things you'll be able to't control and that is the reason one thing that I all the time believe in. What you'll be able to control is your good angle on the box, and your determination on the box, and the fervour to play cricket. That's what you'll be able to control.


"That's the only message I'll give: simply move in the market and experience your cricket with pastime. Play with a good angle."
