CPM seeks resignation of TN ministers facing graft charges

COIMBATORE: Targeting the AIADMK-led govt over the problem of corruption, the CPM on Thursday stated allegations were being levelled each day and sought the resignation of Ministers facing graft fees.

Corruption fees were leveled in opposition to ministers, together with Local Administration Minister, S P Velumani and Health minister Vijayabhaskar and they should step down instantly, CPM Politburo member, G Ramakrishnan informed journalists right here.

Stating that Velumani has been accused of corruption fees, particularly within the award of contract to a French company for water supply to the city, he stated the allegations were being levelled each day in opposition to many ministers.

In view of the ongoing opposition to the Sterlite unit in Tuticorin district, the govenrment should prevent the reported efforts (through the corporate) to function its 2d unit, he stated.
