Rohit, Shikhar India's second most successful opening pair

NEW DELHI: Indian batsmen Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have surpassed Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag to turn out to be the second one most a hit India opening pair in One-Day Internationals.

Three Indian pairs feature within the best 5 record of most hundred plus opening partnerships in ODIs.


Dhawan and Rohit added 210-run partnership in opposition to Pakistan- the highest-ever in opposition to the arch-rivals in ODI history - within the Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2018 in Dubai which is their 13th century stand for the first wicket going past Sachin and Sehwag's 12 hundred plus opening partnerships.

Rohit and Dhawan will be eyeing to catch West Indies openers Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes report of 15 hundred partnerships in one-dayers who also collected 5150 runs.
