NEW DELHI: Even after four years, KYCs of greater than 50 in line with cent of the members have no longer been seeded with their Universal Account Numbers (UANs) and they aren't able to avail the web services and products of the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).


The executive has directed all establishments coated underneath EPFO to get 100 in line with cent KYC seeded with UANs of the PF Members. Seeding of these KYC details with UAN is mandatory and failure in doing so is a punishable offence.

In order to offer rapid, handy and loyal services and products, EPFO had started dispensing a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) since 2014 to all of the provident fund members.


The UAN is essential for all PF comparable services and products. The actual application of UAN lies in seeding of KYCs such as Aadhar, checking account numbers, PAN and cellular numbers of PF members with their respective UANs. When the KYC details of the members are seeded with UAN, the members can get real time details about their PF accounts via mobiles. They can also record claims online.
