Senior superintendent of police Amit Pathak said 15 junior medical doctors were still in prison while 10 others have been granted bail. Forty different unidentified scientific group of workers of the college were additionally booked for vandalism and different charges.

Following the incident, medical doctors at the scientific faculty went on a strike brining its emergency ward to a halt on Sunday. According to police, the FIR used to be lodged in response to a written complaint by means of the pub and eating place manager, Shivaji Ohja, towards the medical doctors and scientific group of workers, who got here to rejoice the birthday of their colleague, but went on a rampage and assaulted the pub group of workers, when they were denied liquor post-closing hours.

In his complaint, the pub proprietor said, “The medical doctors were unruly and adamant on their call for to be serve extra liquor. Mahesh Kumar Gautam, station house officer of Hariparvat police station, said, "Three of our law enforcement officials, including a sub-inspector, sustained injuries on head and limbs because the staff attempted to pacify the unruly medical doctors. Their uniform, too, used to be torn off. Additional police drive used to be roped in to disperse the scientific group of workers who had blocked the MG Road. Later, the medical doctors shut down scientific products and services at SN Medical College’s emergency ward.”

The SHO said, “Taking urged action, we known all of the accused medical doctors and arrested 25 of them who were excited by assault and vandalism. They were booked under IPC’s sections 147 (riots), 149 (illegal meeting), 323 (voluntarily causing harm), 332 (voluntarily causing harm to deter public servant from his duty), 353 (assault or prison drive to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 427 (mischief causing damage to the volume of 50 rupees), 452 (house-trespass alter preparation for harm, assault or wrongful restraint), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and segment 7 of the Criminal Amendment Act.”
