Industrial output expands 7% in June

NEW DELHI: Industrial output recorded a growth of seven in step with cent in June as a result of higher output in mining, production and power technology segments.

Factory output growth measured with regards to the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) used to be revised upwards for May at 3.nine in step with cent from earlier estimate of three.2 in step with cent estimated previous, according to information released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) on Friday.

The cumulative growth for the period April-June 2018 stands at five.2 in step with cent over the corresponding period of the former 12 months.


The production sector, which constitutes 77.63 in step with cent of the index, grew by 6.nine in step with cent in June, as towards a decline of zero.7 in step with cent in the year-ago month.


Power technology segment noticed a upward thrust of eight.five in step with cent all the way through the month as compared to 2.1 in step with cent growth a 12 months ago.


The mining sector output recorded an excellent growth of 6.6 in step with cent in June as towards zero.1 in step with cent in June 2017.
