Sunny Leone didn’t follow Sikh Gurus, can’t use ‘Kaur’ in web series on her: SGPC

AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and Sikh girls leadership have objected to Bollywood actress and one-time porn celebrity Sunny Leone’s upcoming internet sequence ‘Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story of Sunny Leone’. They are dissatisfied with manufacturers the usage of ‘Kaur’ within the sequence.

SGPC’s further secretary and spokesperson Diljit Singh Bedi stated on Friday, “Kaur is an overly respectable identify given by way of Sikh gurus to Sikh girls. An individual who didn’t practice the teachings of Sikh Gurus shouldn’t use the word Kaur as this is able to hurt Sikh religious feelings. Sikhs won't allow her to make use of it. She should smooth a public apology.”

Echoing identical perspectives, president of the Istri Akali Dal, Bibi Jagir Kaur, stated, “She is the usage of the word Kaur for making her biopic a good fortune, ignorant of the truth that the same may just hurt Sikh religious sentiments.”
