Realtor murder: 7 surrender

CHENNAI: Seven men, who have been allegedly involved within the homicide of a realtor, surrendered at the Sriperumbudur courtroom on Friday. The men have been identified as Saravanan, 32, Samuvel, 21, Gopi, 22, Abinash, 24, Sivaraman, 19, Sivakumar, 20, Dinesh, 21.

On Thursday, around 9.15am, the realtor, Suresh, used to be murdered in complete public view 100m from the school at Indira Nagar where he dropped his children.

Police stated excluding Saravanan, none of the men involved the crime has a felony document. Saravanan used to be involved in homicide attempts in 2013, police stated.

Police stated even though Suresh used to be a resident of T M Mastry Street in Indira Nagar, he stayed at his better half's mother's area in Malligai Poo Nagar fearing assaults from his opponents.


"Although the assailants have surrendered, we are yet to establish the motive. Only after taking them into custody we would be able to know why they bumped off Suresh," stated an investigating officer.


"It could be due to business rivalry. Suresh had already faced some trouble in the past and had lodged complaints with the police," he stated. He were steadily shifting his cope with fearing assaults from his opponents, the officer stated.


The courtroom has remanded the seven men in judicial custody.
