Man posing as Lt Col tries to sneak into Army HQ

NEW DELHI: A safety breach was once foiled at the Army headquarters in central Delhi when four people, together with a lady, attempted to gain entry by way of posing as army intelligence officers. One of them was once actually dressed in a military uniform.
The incident happened at 5pm on Friday. They were detained and passed over to police. During interrogation, the primary accused confessed to operating a faux activity racket.

“The main accused Amit Sharma, a resident of Ghaziabad, his spouse Harjit Kaur, motive force Sonu Singh and another person, Sandeep, arrived at DRDO, Sena Bhawan. Sharma claimed he was once lieutenant Colonel Abhimanyu Sharma posted with the military and confirmed an ID card issued by way of PMO,” DCP Madhur Verma stated.

The guard were given suspicious. When puzzled, the person gave the impression uneasy and the guard reported the matter to the chief safety officer. The card was once checked by way of the on-duty Naik and found to be faux.

Sharma advised cops that he had pursued his MTech from a reputed institute, however took to crime for simple cash.
