Councillor’s son booked for ‘attempt to murder’

LUDHIANA: Division No.2 police have booked the son of a councillor and his unidentified accomplices underneath charges of attempt to murder. It is alleged that the councillor’s son, along with his accomplices, had barged right into a house in Amarpur on Thursday afternoon, thrashed a formative years with rods when he was by myself at house, and fled.
The injured has been recognized as Jagdeep Singh Rinkle (22) of Amarpura. It is alleged that the competition between Rinkle and a group of miscreants persevered for the reason that assembly elections of 2017, as Rinkle was supporting and actively promoting the celebration adverse to the accused, Jatinderpal Singh Sunny.

Rinkle’s brother Mani Khehra said on Thursday that while Rinkle was at house, he and their mom had gone to buy some family stuff within the locality. Meanwhile, he won a decision from a neighbour that seven to 8 other folks had barged into the home and thrashed Rinkle.

Mani rushed to his house, but via then the accused had escaped from there, and Rinkle was mendacity in a pool of blood. Following this, Mani rushed Rinkle to a private health center on Brown Road. Further, he said: “During the assembly elections, my brother supported the BJP candidate, while the councillor represents the Congress celebration. My brother was quite lively, and since then, the councillor and his son nurtured a competition in opposition to Rinkle. They also thrashed him, after which we lodged a police criticism, however the police did not listen to us.”

“In March this 12 months once more, Sunny thrashed Rinkle, but falsely got an FIR lodged in opposition to him. Today, when Rinkle was by myself at house, the accused brutally thrashed him. He is critical and on ventilator,” added Mani. The SHO at police station Division No.2, inspector Gurwinder Singh, said the formative years was essential and not able to provide a statement. However, on his brother’s criticism, the police have booked the councillor’s son Sunny and his accomplices.

Further, the inspector added that the accused were captured in a Volkswagen automotive. The police are tracing that automotive. Meanwhile, the councillor could no longer be contacted for a statement.
