20 more villages to come under corporation limits

GURUGRAM: The space beneath municipal limits is all set to increase, with 20 more villages being taken over through MCG. These villages come with Bajghera, Dhankot, Sikanderpur, Ullawas, Behrampur, Kankrola, Bhagrola, Gopalpur and Wazirbad. The colonies round these villages can also be taken over through the company, officers stated.

The switch of these villages to the company has been beneath discussion for a while now. As of now, there are 50 villages and 150 colonies beneath MCG. “Starting subsequent week, a satellite survey of most of these villages and their adjoining colonies will likely be carried out. A separate guide survey can also be carried out. Once the survey is finished, the record will likely be sent to the state executive for an approval,” an MCG legit informed TOI on Thursday.

Once the state executive approves the survey record, “these spaces will then formally be beneath the company”, the legit stated.

Consequently all building works in these spaces will likely be taken up through the MCG versus the panchayat.

Just remaining year, the company had taken over all however two industrial sectors in the town. Currently, the overall space beneath the municipal limits is round 232 square kilometres. The takeover of more villages and colonies approach MCG will take care of their basic services like repairs of roads and streetlights, water provide, drainage, and so forth. But there can be a serious concern in the case of human assets after the takeover of most of these villages and colonies.

Sources stated that with the takeover of Huda sectors itself, the work load has significantly larger. “In case of the takeover of the parks for example, the quantity has doubled and the company doesn’t have enough assets to maintain the work load,” stated an MCG legit, requesting anonymity.

MCG commissioner Yashpal Yadav, however, insists the company has enough assets.
