'Ready to back people battling sexual assaults'

MANGALURU: More than five years after 17-year-old Sowjanya was once discovered murdered after being raped in Ujire near Dharmasthala, her mom Kusumavathi Gowda on Monday pledged her reinforce to these combating sexual attacks in opposition to ladies.

"Five years have gone by since my daughter was murdered. Ever since the day her body was found, I have left no stone unturned to give her justice. I fear no more. I will support anybody who seeks my involvement in movements against such crimes," she declared ahead of an enormous gathering that assembled near the district deputy commissioner's administrative center to take out a candlelight protest in opposition to the new rapes and brutal murders of girl kids across the nation.


Sowjanya, then a 17-year-old scholar, was once walking house from the bus stand when she went missing on October nine, 2012. Narendra Nayak, president, Federation of Indian Rationalist Association, called on mothers to teach their sons to admire ladies as a substitute of enforcing a dress code on their daughters.
