Protests against killing of two Christians in Pakistan

KARACHI: The leaders of the Christian neighborhood have introduced a protest against the killing of 2 Christians close to a church by 4 unidentified gunmen who opened fireplace at them in Pakistan's Balochistan province, officials mentioned.
Provincial police chief Moazzam Jah Ansari mentioned that a team of Christians had pop out of the church on Sunday when the 4 gunmen seemed on two motorcycles from a close-by lane and opened fireplace on them.

"Two people were killed on the spot while six others were injured and rushed to a hospital," he mentioned.

The deceased have been known as Azhar Masih and Rohail Masih. They were residents of Essa Nagri which properties a big population of the Christian neighborhood.

The attack has been claimed by the Islamic State terror team.

Ansari mentioned that it seemed that the aim of the attack used to be to unfold panic and fear within the province.

"These terrorists are targeting security forces and now minorities to spread fear and panic because of the ongoing operation against them in the province," he mentioned.
