Central University students block road to protest student's death

BATHINDA: Alleging negligence on the universtiy's part, the students of the Central University of Punjab blocked Bathinda-Talwandi Sabo road on Tuesday. The scholars had been protesting against the negligence in offering steered remedy to a scholars after he suffered cardiac arrest on Monday evening. The scholars alleged that the deceased, Sushant Sagar, died as authorities failed to provide quick clinical support in first 30 mins.

The 22-year-old Sushant fron Sahara in Bihar was pursuing submit commencement in Biochemistry and was in the 4th semester. He was playing Basketball on overdue Monday evening in the university when he suffered a cardiac arrest. The accompanying scholars rushed Sushant to well being middle in the university where right kind amenities had been lacking, alleged the students.


The university vice-chancellor RK Kohli met the protesting scholars and assured of a right kind probe into the incident.


However, the students stated they are going to not call off the protest until justice is equipped and an acceptable compensation is given to the bereaved family.
