3 gangs busted, 8 held

LUDHIANA: Ludhiana police busted 3 gangs of snatchers and burglars with the arrest of eight males on Saturday, together with a murder accused.
Police recovered 20 mobile phones, 4 motorcycles and other valuables from their ownership.

In the first case, a workforce of CIA-1 arrested Tarun Kumar and Vikran Kumar from Shaheed Bhagat Singh (SBS) Nagar on the basis of a tip-off.

Vikran is the murder accused. He, however, was bailed out a couple of months ago.

Inspector Prem Singh, in control of CIA -1, stated that they had recovered 4 stolen motorcycles from the accused. “They wanted to sell the motorcycles,” he stated.

The accused have been crossing the world on a bike when the police stopped them. They have been asked to supply documents of the car, but couldn’t.

Later, police took them to a police station and puzzled them. Following this, claimed police, they confessed to stealing motorcycles and led the law enforcement officials to the other 3 stolen automobiles.

In the second one case, CIA body of workers arrested Sarabjit Singh of Gurdaspur and Goldy Kumar of Sarpanch Colony, and recovered 9 stolen mobile phones from their ownership. They have been arrested in Sherpur.


Police have been nonetheless questioning the accused when this document was filed.


In the 3rd case, Salem Tabri police arrested 3 males on the price of housebreaking.


Gurpreet Singh of Jassiyan, Dharinder Singh of Salem Tabri and Sunny of Khajoor Chowk have been found in ownership of 11 mobile phones, 1 LCD, 2 gasoline cylinders, 1 invertor, 1 digital camera, and three batteries. The gang’s leader, Ajad Singh of Ashok Nagar, escaped.
