BHUBANESWAR: The state cupboard on Wednesday authorized a new eye care scheme--Universal Eye Health Programme that goals to supply common get admission to to comprehensive eye care products and services from number one to tertiary degree.

The eye care facilities in all the seven medical schools will be upgraded. At present, all diabetes sufferers are screened at the group health centre (CHC) degree for diabetes retinopathy and equipped loose remedy and medical college and district headquarter hospitals.
