Dharwad: With the Election Commission not giving out any clue concerning the conceivable date of polling and the calendar of occasions for the election to the state legislative assembly, political events were left guessing. However, officials are busy making arrangements to ensure easy habits of polls.
At a gathering of sector officers held in Dharwad on Tuesday, deputy commissioner S B Bommanahalli, who may be the district returning officer, has requested the officials to instil confidence amongst voters to exercise their franchise without falling prey to any inducement by politicians and pave manner for a free and truthful voting.

The DC called upon the officers appointed on election responsibility to discharge the assigned paintings with zeal and diligence, taking into account it as an honour.

“The sector officials and police on election responsibility should have whole knowledge of the polling cubicles coming below their jurisdiction. The officials must seek advice from their respective areas ahead of March 20 as directed by the ECI and phone the voters and instil confidence in them. They should also get ready a vulnerability map and submit it to the district returning officer,” Bommanahalli said.

He cautioned the law enforcement officials about the opportunity of voters, especially the physically challenged and underprivileged, being intimidated by the contestants and advised them to spot such trouble makers and maintain them sternly.

The type code of habits will come into power soon after the election dates are announced and might be in power until the election process is finished. The officials must be sure that they don't get influenced by any party or baby-kisser.

Police commissioner M N Nagaraj said police officials should make manner for a calm voting and increase co-ordination with sector officials.

ZP CEO Snehal Rayamane, who may be the chairperson of SVEEP, said that the sector officials must contain in activities conducted by the SVEEP and teach other folks on the want to cast their vote.
