TTV bats for teacher candidates who cleared TET

Coimbatore: RK Nagar MLA TTV Dhinakaran on Sunday condemned the state govt for no longer according priority to the candidates, who have cleared the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) held in 2013 in the appointments to govt schools.

In a commentary issued on Sunday, Dhinakaran alleged that 94,000 candidates, who cleared the examination in 2013, were not considered for appointments to govt schools despite the fact that the validity of the test was once just for seven years.

Pointing out that the state govt had on January 29 introduced to issue an order assuring that priority would be given to those who have cleared the TET in 2013, Dhinakaran said, "Such a government order is yet to be issued." TNN
