Teams to check at least 96 vehicles every day to curb mining in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: In a bid to curb unlawful mining, the state delivery department has given day by day goals to the teams appointed in the mining spaces. The joint will have to test a minimum of 96 vehicles a day. Though the selection of checked vehicles can exceed, but it will have to not be not up to 96, say the brand new instructions.

On Monday, the delivery commissioner issued instructions to all further deputy commissioners that each one joint teams appointed at inter-state and mining zone will have to test no less than 96 vehicles a day. The day by day record of overloaded vehicles will have to be submitted to the delivery department.


The instructions had been issued after the state delivery department notified Haryana Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2018. Under Section 213 of the foundations, officers had been specified who can conduct exams on overloaded vehicles. The transfer will assist in controlling the mining because the noose will be tightened around the vehicles transporting the stone, minerals and sand from Aravallis. The officers can workout the facility of challan in the house covered inside of a radius of 5 kilometers of mining or crushing zones notified via the Mines and Geology Department.

"The instructions to check at least 96 vehicles a day is calculated on the average number of vehicles crossing the check posts in Haryana. In Gurugram, check posts have seen set up around the three crusher zones i.e. Naurangpur, Gwal Pahari and Raisina. The joint teams have been set up around these and the location of the posts will be changed on random basis," stated a senior legit.
