Railways Group D Recruitment 2018: Application process to fill 62,907 vacancies begins

NEW DELHI: The on-line application process to fill 62,907 vacancies in the Indian Railways Group D has began from February 10, 2018 and can end on March 12, 2018.
The Railway Recruitment Boards has invited only on-line programs from eligible candidates for the recruitment of more than a few posts in Level 1 of seven CPC Pay Matrix for the vacancies in more than a few devices of Indian Railways.

The candidate has to submit application on-line through RRB websites only and one application is required to be submitted to the selected RRB for all posts notified in Centralised Employment Notice.

Candidates should have their very own cellular number and legitimate & active non-public e mail identity and keep them active for all of the length of recruitment as RRBs shall send all recruitment similar communications only through SMS and e mail till the recruitment is completely over.

Computer Based Test (CBT) During April and May, 2018


Qualification: The candidate should have a passing certificates of Class 10th or ITI from establishments recognized by means of NCVT/SCVT or similar or retaining National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by means of NCVT. Those expecting result of the overall exam of the prescribed instructional/technical qualification should no longer observe.

Age Limit:
The candidate should fall in the age bracket of 18 to 31 years. Age-relaxation is applicable as according to executive rules.

Pay Scale:
The selected candidates will likely be eligible to obtain a per thirty days salary of Rs 18,000 monthly + allowances as according to 7th CPC Level 1.

Application Fees: Candidates belonging to Unreserved (UR) and OBC classes are required to pay Rs. 500/- as application charge for Railway Group D Exam 2018. While candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ PWDs/ Female/ Transgender/ Minorities/ Economically backward magnificence are required to pay Rs. 250/- as application charge.

Stages of Exam: There shall be a Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates certified in the CBT shall must go through Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Marks will likely be normalized in the CBT.

First level of CBT

  • Minimum share of marks for eligibility in more than a few classes : UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -30%.
  • Will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions: English Only

Second Stage: PET
Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is important for the entire candidates if they wish to get selected through Railway Group D Recruitment Exam.

Male Candidates

  • Should have the ability to elevate and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 mins in a single likelihood with out hanging the load down and
  • Should have the ability to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 mins and 15 seconds in a single likelihood.

Female Candidates

  • Should have the ability to elevate and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 mins in a single likelihood with out hanging the load down and
  • Should have the ability to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 mins and 40 seconds in a single likelihood.

Negative Marking: There shall be destructive marking for incorrect solutions in the CBT. 1/3 of the marks allotted for each and every query shall be deducted for incorrect solution.


Candidates should make certain that they've needful qualifications from recognized Board/Institute as at the date of closure for submission of the application for this CEN.
