NGO to honour Amu for contribution in sports

GURUGRAM: Karni Sena general secretary Suraj Pal Amu (51), who lately received notoriety by leading violent protests towards the discharge of the film Padmaavat, will now be awarded by an NGO. Hisar-based Raah Group, which awards the Haryana Gaurav Samman to those that introduced honour to the state, will award Amu on February 24 for his contributions in opposition to promoting gymnastics and football in the state.
Amu is the president of Haryana Gymnastics Association and Haryana Football Association. The associations reportedly spend Rs 1 lakh in each district for promoting those sports activities amongst adolescence.
