NEET aspirants face Aadhaar bumps during registration

MUMBAI: Several medical aspirants who attempted to log into NEET's website to register for front tests confronted technical system defects over Aadhaar details. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) mapped the Aadhaar details of aspirants with UIDAI's site however many have been unable to register.

if even a minor element didn't fit the Aadhaar card, she added. Some others confronted technical system defects, said Shenoy.

One mum or dad may not entire the process as the date of birth at the faculty certificates didn't fit that at the card. "It was the parent's fault but there is enough time to get the mistake rectified online," said a mum or dad.

Another mum or dad said after the safety pin was generated, the registration web page didn't lead anyplace. A pupil said after filling the main points they didn't get any affirmation at the site. Another pupil said the web page disappeared after the onetime password was entered.

Students need to get their Aadhaar information verified online

Most were given a message announcing the main points filled in by means of them didn't fit their Aadhaar details. "I am trying to register but the system is saying my gender and date of birth do not match. I have verified it thrice," said a mum or dad.

A CBSE spokesperson said the technical system defects have been because of heavy site visitors at the site. "Students need not panic if they are unable to complete the registration process. It is not on a firstcome, first-serve basis. Students have a lot of time to register, they should try again in a day or two," said the spokesperson. Aadhaar details are looked for a unified procedure for registration.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS and BDS classes can be held on May 6. The procedure for registration will go on till March 10. Students don't need to panic as they have got a month, the spokesperson said. The Aadhaar number is mandatory for all excluding the ones from Assam, Jammu & Kashmir and Meghalaya, and applicants will have to give their consent to CBSE to validate it. In case of a mismatch in the Aadhaar number with the name, date of birth and gender, applicants will be unable to fill out the shape. Students need to get their Aadhaar details verified online to ensure they fit their faculty information.
