Mizoram players attack referees after football match

SILCHAR: Chaos broke out after the general match of Captain NM Gupta Memorial Football match at the SM Dev Stadium in Silchar on Tuesday as Mizo footballers became violent and assaulted referees, organizers and photograph reporters. Trouble broke out mins after the ultimate whistle as Army Green Bengaluru defeated the defending champions Mizoram. Alleging that referees weren't unbiased all through officiating, avid gamers from the Mizoram group attacked the referees and assistant referees, media individuals and officers.

Sources said 4 referees and quite a lot of press photographers have been injured within the clashes. Assam Football Association secretary Ankur Dutta said they'll absorb the problem with All India Football Federation.
