High Court quashes PIL on Vande Mataram

ALLAHABAD: The Allahabad high court docket on Tuesday disregarded a PIL in the hunt for directions to the mayor of Meerut to offer due appreciate to singing or enjoying of 'Vande Mataram' within the municipal company house and sensitise citizens of Meerut about their elementary duties to appreciate the national song.

Counsel Jitendra Sarin argued that within the municipal House, some corporators weren't keen to sing Vande Mataram whilst others were advocating that all together with the mayor will have to sing it.
