GURUGRAM: Residents of Sector 69 have written to MCG difficult the construction of stormwater drains, set up of LED streetlights and deployment of traffic marshals within the area.
According to residents, Darbaripur Road in Sector 69, which is being reconstructed after residents made several appeals to the government, is in deficient situation due to the motion of heavy automobiles at the stretch.

The situation of the street began deteriorating 3 years in the past after traffic, especially heavy automobiles from the Kherki Daula aspect that have been intended to take the SPR, took Darbaripur street as a substitute and were given stuck at Ram Veer ki Dhani.

“Darbaripur street is being reconstructed with reinforced concrete now. Work began simplest remaining week,” said Jasvinder Singh, a resident.

Residents said they have got been living in a “dust bowl”. “We are suffering due to the dust from the broken street. The asymmetric street also damages our automobiles,” Singh said.


Somika Chandhok, a resident of GPL Heights, which lies right next to Darbaripur street, said: “There is an urgent want of stormwater drains to be laid alongside this street. The street is raised upper than the houses alongside it, so there are probabilities of rainwater entering our residential complicated.”


Residents said they have got also written to senior MCG officers, asking them to switch CFL streetlights with LED variants and deploy traffic cops at the street.


Since MCG has began paintings at the street, one of the vital carriageways has been closed down, resulting in chaos as traffic from both sides percentage the similar carriageway. “The presence of traffic cops at the stretch may assist scale back congestion,” Chandhok said.
