Coimbatore bomb blasts anniversary: Hindu outfits pay tributes to victims

COIMBATORE: More than 50 contributors of the Hindu Makkal Katchi took out a procession at flower market right here on Wednesday afternoon to pay their tributes to people who had been killed within the 1998 bomb blasts. The town police detained them as they weren't authorized to take out the procession.

A complete of 58 people died and around 200 others suffered injured within the bomb blasts in other places in Coimbatore on February 14, 1988.


Various different Hindu outfits additionally paid their tributes to the bomb blast victims on the 20th anniversary of the Coimbatore bomb blasts. At Peelamedu, Siva Bharata Sena paid their tributes. Members of the Hindu Makkal Peravai at Chinniyampalayam went to a temple and introduced particular pujas.


Members of Siva Sena, Bharat Sena, Rashtriya Hindu Parishad and different outfits amassed at Shastri Maidhan in separate batches. They had been detained by means of the R S Puram police.


Union minister Pon Radhakrishnan participated in an match organised by means of BJP and RSS staff and paid his tributes to the victims.
