BJP wants to keep people illiterate and make them sell 'pakoras': Arvind Kejriwal

NEW DELHI: In a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AAP supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal nowadays said the ruling BJP used to be best interested in making the rustic's formative years "sell pakoras".

Wading into the talk over PM Modi's 'pakora' remark, Kejriwal claimed that while the AAP used to be empowering the formative years and giving them jobs, the BJP used to be denying them schooling and jobs.

"Aam Aadmi Party ensures good education to the people and makes them doctors, engineers and lawyers. BJP's dream for India is - keep the people illiterate and make them sell 'pakoras'," the AAP chief tweeted.



Modi had said in an interview to a TV channel: "If a person sells 'pakodas' and takes home Rs 200 every evening, will it be considered employment or not?"


The assault againt the ruling party at Centre comes as AAP launched a 'Vikas Yatra' in every constituency in the nationwide capital, to highlight the "good work" accomplished via the Kejriwal government right through its three years in energy.


Kejriwal has on several occasions asserted that "health and education" are the top priorities of the AAP government and said that it has made vital improvements in each fields.


In December 2017, the Delhi CM had launched "Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojna" to permit underprivileged formative years to receive coaching for aggressive tests. Under this scheme, the Delhi government will fund 75 in step with cent of the coaching price for college students from SC/ST, minorities and other underprivileged sections of the society.


In distinction, the BJP-led NDA government has been facing grievance for emerging unemployment and failure to ship on its promises of task introduction.
