Auto expo concludes, over 6 lakh visitors for second year in a row

GREATER NOIDA: Nearly 500 merchandise had been displayed through 119 exhibitors on the six-day Auto expo which concluded on Wednesday. Over 6.05 lakh other folks visited the mega event in comparison to 6.01 lakh in 2016, resources said.
The expo had 53 unique automobile producers showcasing over 100 merchandise, which included 22 launches, 81 product unveilings and 18 idea show off.

There had been 14 new brands including Kia Motors India, India Kawasaki Motors and Cleveland CycleWerks. There had been 25 electrical cars showcased in the expo. A complete of 11 start-u.s.also marked presence in the country throughout the show.

The show was once jointly organised buy Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

Vishnu Mathur, director general, SIAM, said the Auto expo is a milestone as a grand exposition that has constructed a logo symbol for itself through the years. “It is the most important platform for the Indian automobile industry to show off its journey towards the future of ‘Mobility in India’, with aggressive & international elegance merchandise, era & futuristic idea,” he said.

Sugato Sen, deputy director general, SIAM said a success of entirety of the Auto expo is a great fulfillment for the industry. “We had 6,05,175 footfalls right through this edition. The Auto expo has been welcomed through visitors and producers alike. The feedback gained from all quarters has been positive. It has been a good looking experience for all which was once one of the key objectives of the motor show,” he said.

Legendary sports and Bollywood personalities like Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Gul Panag, Rahul Khanna, Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammad Azharuddin, Gautam Gambhir, R P Singh and others had introduced cars on the Auto expo.

The organisers said that the spectacular client response and inflow of visitors coming to the expo is a testament to its success, atmosphere the tone for the following monetary year for the auto industry.

The expo was once also buzzing on social networking websites like Twitter and Facebook last week. The show witnessed an incredible response on social media as there were greater than 1.5 lakh tweets on its professional hashtag #AutoExpo2018 which further garnered over four.5 billion impressions on Twitter in a span of six days.
