Anna Hazare supporters to file affidavits against joining politics

GREATER NOIDA: Anna Hazare said on Sunday someone keen to join his motion towards corruption would have to sign a sworn statement saying he would no longer sign up for politics or contest elections.

Speaking to TOI, Hazare said 5,000 such affidavits were collected up to now. "Nothing political. Anyone who wants to join us can give an affidavit on a 100-rupee bond stamp saying he or she would not join any political party and would not contest elections," he said. "The person will have to follow a five-pointer formula for joining us. The formula includes that he or she will work for public service...."


Asked if he used to be disillusioned with Delhi leader minister Arvind Kejriwal, who parted techniques with his India Against Corruption motion to form the Aam Aadmi Party, he said Kejriwal "did the opposite".


A "sudden" denial by means of the management to permit Hazare's rally at a Dadri college prompted a protest by means of farmers who threatened a "jail bharo andolan". The rally used to be later held on a personal land.


Three participants of the Corruption-Free India Force, a Greater Noida-based outfit, have began a cycle rally to garner reinforce for Hazare's agitation on March 23.
