Airport land losers protest at HDUDA

Hubballi: Demanding repayment, the land losers of Hubballi airport growth project laid siege to the Hubballi-Dharwad Urban Development Authority (HDUDA) place of job when a pre-budget assembly was once in development here on Saturday. District minister Vinay Kulkarni, chief of opposition Jagadish Shettar, MLA Arvind Bellad and HDUDA chairman Anwar Mudhol took part in the assembly.

The protesters alleged that 850 acres of land alongside Gokul road, at Omkar Nagar and different areas were obtained for the growth of the airport. Of the land obtained come with 11.30 acres of Akrama-Sakrama land. However, repayment is not paid to the land losers even though Rs four.five crore meant for the fee of the repayment is mendacity unused with the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board.

The protesters alleged that even though the state govt had promised of doling out sites to the land losers at Jagadish Nagar, Lohia Nagar and Bhairidevarkoppa. However, no motion has been taken so far in this regard. The protesters additionally alleged that of the 850 acres obtained, only 650 acres are applied and the remainder are sold to non-public corporations.

Later, leaders confident the protesters of conserving a gathering on March eight to speak about the subject. The protesters incorporated Raghotham Kulkarni, Santosh Anandgal, Gopal Kulkarni and others.
